Cowtown 2008 Half Marathon Training

Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this great program.   I don’t think you will find any more grateful participants than me and Kori.  We learned so much.  All of the coaches and coaches in training were great, and I am sure Kori would brag on her coach, but I especially want to commend Dusty for a tremendous job. He turned an old fart in to a half marathoner.  Frankly, I probably could have gone on line and found some training program to follow.  However, I would not have received the personal attention with respect to running form, training tips, and might not ever have figured out the whole fueling component – you might have noticed I tend to sweat a little bit.  The week we did 11 miles I wasn’t sure this was going to work for me, at least not in time for Cowtown.  I met with Dusty that morning, and he provided me the final piece of the puzzle, and it worked.  I can’t tell you how excited I was to finish 8 miles the next week feeling energized after employing the tips he gave me.  It was a tremendous boost of confidence.
 
So thank you again for this opportunity.  We absolutely loved it.    Bask in the glow of knowing you and your cohorts have helped make a positive difference in some folk’s lives.

I just want to say thank you to Fleet Feet for providing the motivation I needed to re-claim my life! I am 51 years old and have been on Weight
Watcher's for a over a year. I decided it was time to kick things up a notch and get things moving. At the beginning of this year, I made a commitment to myself to walk a 5K race each month. At the Shamrock'n Run in March, I heard about the Women's Fitness Festival training from a Fleet Feet staff person and decided to go for it. Being shy and self-conscious, I have never done anything like this in my life. I thought I knew how to walk! Well, what I have learned so far is invaluable. Although I still have more weight to lose, I haven't felt this good physically and emotionally in years. The coaches are awesome and the training is priceless. Thank you, Fleet Feet. You rock!

Thank you for your emails! I am thoroughly enjoying the classes. I am 62 years old and finally realized I need to do something with regards to an exercise program.
I have been a real estate agent for over 32 years and thought getting in and out of the car was enough! I am now working with a trainer twice a week and your program twice a week and have never felt better! In just these five weeks, I can see and feel the improvement in my balance, form and endurance .

Nancy and Mark are delightful and make me want to come on Monday and Wednesday evenings. They always greet with a smile and so much enthusiasm and energy, not to mention the encouragement and positive comments.

Nike Women's Fitness Festival Performance Testimonial

I wanted to thank you, Dusty and Fleet Feet for a great fitness experience through the Performance Running Class. I really enjoyed attending the workouts, learning about stretching, running form, pacing myself and doing the strength training. My Zoo Zoom 5K time was a 10:32 pace and my Nike Fitness pace was 8:35. A major improvement! I've been doing 5k's, 10k's, a triathlon, 2 half-marathons and have never focused on, or thought about, my running speed. Because I didn't think I had any speed! Now I'm excited to continue working at this new and improved pace and striving to get even faster. Thanks for a great program, I'm definitely going to miss it!
